My Mom's Only Daughter is a 12-minute short film following my mother's everyday life in her childhood home of Gibon, Philippines; alongside my own thoughts and feelings as narrator and daughter. The concept builds on research highlighting the fact Philippine fashion media tends to show mother-daughter relationships through a polished lens - real, but often incomplete. The film - filmed on Boracay Island - captures a more intimate and honest dynamic, one that embraces the complexities of distance, guilt, care, and love.
